AI/ML Consulting

Heiko Hotz is the founder of AI/ML Consulting. He started out as a Software Engineer in 2001 at Panasonic.

 

Heiko received his master in Statistical Physics and Computer Science in 2008 from the University of Munich (LMU) where he published his thesis on “Evolutionary Game Theory on Complex Networks”. 

 

Following graduation from LMU, Heiko spent 5 years as IT Consultant in Switzerland, helping large enterprises customise and extend their SAP Enterprise Planning Systems (ERPs). 

 

In 2013 Heiko moved to London to do his Master in Business Administration at London Business School (LBS) from which he graduated in 2015. 

 

After his MBA studies Heiko joined FTI Consulting as a Senior Director at the Analytics team, where he worked on one of the largest fraud cases ever litigated. Heiko developed a tracing tool that allowed the lawyers of the case to determine whether funds in a given account were tainted. This exercise would take lawyers usually hours or days to complete - with the tracing tool it could be done in seconds.

 

In 2017 Heiko joined Amazon UK where he developed several ML models to improve business operations, from optimised warehouse staffing to identifying root causes for customer complaints. In 2020 Heiko switched to AWS as a Specialist Solutions Architect for AI & Machine Learning. In addition to his role as Solutions Architect Heiko also leads the Natural Language Processing community within AWS.

 

With his more than 20 years of experience in software engineering, IT consulting, data science, and AI & ML Heiko founded AI/ML Consulting in 2022 to help organisations accelerate their adoption of AI & Machine Learning.
